I seem to be in the divinity making business. I didn’t really intend to be, but enough people asked me about making it for them that I finally put up a website and went into business. I’m only doing it in the local area at this point so I don’t have to ship it. Who knows where this might lead eventually!
It’s ironic that it’s not my favorite thing to eat, but I really enjoy making it. It’s part cooking and part chemistry experiment. For some reason that appeals to me.
Maybe I like the connection of it being something my mother always did. I’m not sure I can rise to her standards, but there’s something comforting about the continuation of a tradition. Food is powerful in that way..
